County Climbing Company to import Snap Pads

Locally based the County Climbing Company have announced that they shall be importing Snap pads to the UK from this winter. Snap pads have been extremely successful in their native France and look set to be a hit in the UK. You can check out the Snap's UK website here.




Blood Sport

After a week of sustained attack on Shaftoe's turtle rock, Andy Earl has climbed perhaps the last great problem at the area. Blood Sport (8b) takes the roof from its lowest point following the line of huecos on the lip to finish left of Soft Centre. Andy had to endure some extremely poor conditions whilst working the problem but the effort paid off to establish one of the hardest pieces of climbing in Northumberland.




Conditions Report: Great Wanney

The guys over at Malhamba report that summer venue Great Wanney is finally in condition after the wet weather. Great Wanney is primarily a leading venue with many excellent routes however for the exploritary boulderer there are a number of gems to be found.
