The 2nd annual North-East Climbing Awards took place on Friday night at Percy Hedley School in Forest Hall, where a
packed out hall watched guest speaker Dave Macleod talk about his recent high E-grade routes. Walking down the red
carpet were many of the stars of North-East climbing including daredevil route climber/photographer Mark Savage,
North Yorkshire crag developer Colin Binks and Rock Solid team coaches Andrew Earl and Chris Graham, making a rare
appearance dressed up in shirts. The Sherrif of Newcastle was also in attendance to present the following awards:
