Area Description
Not a Northumberland crag, but not far off and the only venue in very close proximity to Newcastle City Centre, Jesmond Dene has been a training ground for many years and can be a pleasant afternoon's escape from the busy city.

Location and Approach
From Newcastle City Centre: Head North West out of the centre into the upmarket Jesmond area. Jesmond Dene borders the East side of the borough. The boulders are located near to Castlefarm Road and the quarry a few hundred metres South of there.
Public Transport: Metro to West Jesmond, Ilford Road or South Gosforth (roughly equidistant) followed by a 10 minute walk to the entrance of the dene.
