Location and Approach
From the Military Road (B6318) running parallel to the A69: , turn off for Sewingshields Farm. Permission to drive along the track can be sought at the cottage by the gate or at the main farmhouse at the top of the track. Park sensibly on the grassy verge on the left of the track. Alternatively park by the verge on the roadside of the military road. Once parked and at Sewingshields farm, walk around the hairpin bend and over a cattle grid. Head diagonally across the field for 15 minutes, ignoring the large whin sill crag to the left.
Public Transport: Bus and cycle combination or the hike along the Roman Wall is very popular.
