Location and Approach
From the A696 Newcastle to Otterburn road: Turn right in Belsay village towards Bolam lake. Follow the road, passing the lake on your right to a left turn marked Shaftoe Crags. Follow the dirt track past cottages all the way to a pond. The boulders are due West from here, beyond the pond.
Public Transport: 1 hour walk from the bus stop in Belford.
