Simonside
Area Description
Simonside North Face is one of Northumberland's finest crags. For bouldering however this area is even more extensive, located on many minor outcrops above and around the main crag. Some of the county's finest problems are hidden up here.

Location and Approach
From Rothbury town: Cross the river Coquet, taking a right turn and then another at a t-junction. Follow this road for 2 miles to a left turn signposted for a Forestry Comission car park. Follow the road and turn right to park in the car park. Take a path out of the South-East corner of the car park, up a wooded hillside to join a main path and turn left on to it. The crag soon becomes visible ahead.
Public Transport: You can cycle out of Rothbury if you are very fit.
